Conservative Reads

Part of the impetus behind starting this blog was the numerous requests I had on my book related posts on another website, FutureFemaleLeader.com, to give book recommendations or start a bookclub, so this site has to include a recommendation of my favorite conservative reads!

I’ve known I was a conservative since elementary school, but I really got grounded in my conservatism in college. Attending a liberal university will really put you in touch with your conservatism! I got an awesome opportunity after my freshman year to intern with the Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute, and we had a book club in the office! We read God and Man at Yale and And the Good News Is and even got to review them! The summer after my sophomore year, I landed an internship at Regnery Publishing and got to work on conservative books all summer! Through my work with both companies and my own reading, I’ve compiled this list of 25 conservative books that you should read to! They include some great classic conservative books and newer releases!

  1. God and Man at Yale by William F Buckley Jr
  2. And the Good News Is by Dana Perino
  3. Assault and Flattery by Katie Pavlich
  4. End of Discussion by Guy Benson and Mary-Katherine Ham
  5. Upside Down by Mark Davis
  6. A Choice Not an Echo by Phyllis Schlafly
  7. The Conservative Heart by Arthur Brooks
  8. What I Saw at the Revolution by Peggy Noonan
  9. An American Life by Ronald Reagan
  10. The War on Guns by John Lott
  11. Please Stop Helping Us by Jason Riley
  12. Excuse Me, Professor by Lawrence Reed and Ron Robinson
  13. How to Be Right by Greg Gutfeld
  14. The Conservative Mind by Russell Kirk
  15. If You Can Keep It by Eric Metaxas
  16. Right for a Reason by Miriam Weaver and Amy Jo Clark
  17. Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters by Meg Meeker
  18. Tyranny of Cliches by Jonah Goldberg
  19. See No Evil by Joel Pollak
  20. Resurrecting the Idea of a Christian Society by R.R. Reno
  21. Plunder and Deceit by Mark Levin
  22. Who Stole Feminism by Christina Hoff Sommers
  23. Gosnell by Ann McElhinney
  24. Conscience of a Conservative by Barry Goldwater
  25. Now They Call Me Infidel by Nonie Darwis

If you’re interested in even more conservative books check out a longer list I put together for FFL . You can also read my review of End of Discussion, which is mentioned in the list and I highly recommend! I’ve also written a great list about books on the Clintons.
